There is a combination of things that give you great picture quality including but not limited to the type of camera you use, lighting, and of course, the kind of recording tape you use. I chose the JVC MDV60u10 because it provides great color and works well with my Panasonic DVC30P prosumer camera. The playback is the same time and time again with little to no loss.
